Workshops

Engaging the Body  Awareness and Movement to Change Pain

The workshop is an exciting joint venture between Steve Haines - author of ‘Pain Is Really Strange’ - and Marina Collard - dancer and long term faculty member at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance. We will explore the science and practice of movement for both therapists and people who experience pain.

We will use slow, simple movement and body awareness to help us move without fear. The capacity to listen and be receptive is at the heart of moving. Listening, slowing down and attending to each moment supports coherence and integrity. Invest in the awareness and the doing takes care of itself. Easy and efficient movement can emerge with sustained practice.
